There is a difference in lifespan between captive and wild sailfin tang. Captive-bred sailfin tangs receive proper care and can live up to 40 years. Meanwhile, those living in the wild can only live up to 7 years. Very far, isn't the age gap?
Sailfin tangs living in the wild have a lifespan of 5 to 7 years, while those kept in captivity can live 30 to 40 years. This means that wild and captive sailfin fish have a vast difference in lifespan.
